Professor Robert Huggins, Cardiff School of Planning and Geography

On 26th November 2013 at the National Assembly for Wales Professor Robert Huggins from Cardiff School of Planning and Geography gave at talk which focused on the status of Wales in the UK and International Competitiveness Indexes. The talk was well attend and chaired by Gorwel’s vice chair Professor Russell Deacon. Prof Huggins was able to draw from his own extensive research on both the UK and international regions. During the talk Professor Huggins was able to indicate Wales weak position compared to other regions in the UK and internationally and provide a number of the reasons that would appear to be behind it.
