Welsh politics teachers in coalition talks

When it comes to dealing with coalition government either at Westminster or in Cardiff Bay Welsh Politics teachers have recently been given a substantial boost to their classroom knowledge. This occurred because Gorwel held its first joint event with the Welsh Political Studies Lectures and Teachers Society (WPSLATS) shown in the photo here. So on Tuesday 14th April 2015 the speaker was

Baroness Jenny Randerson, the then Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Wales Office. Baroness Randerson has served in ministerial roles in the Lab-Lib Welsh Assembly Government and the Westminster Con-Lib government. So therefore it was no surprise that her talk was entitled “From Lab-Lib to Con Lib: Reflections on serving in coalition government.” She was also able to go into some detail about how ministers are appointed and how they operate within a coalition government, which is useful for both the lecturers and the other members of the audience. After the talk there was a dinner open to Gorwel supports and WPSLATS members.
