On Tuesday 26th January 2016 Kirsty Williams AM, Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats delivered at talk on
 ‘What a future Welsh Parliament Should Look Like? ’ The talk was fully booked and Kirsty set out how the next election will determine the future direction of Wales in so many different but vital areas to the Welsh economic, social and welfare issues. These may also be the last elections for a Welsh Assembly, with the prospect of the Assembly becoming a Parliament with full law making and substantial tax raising powers by the time of the next elections in May 2020. It is with this in mind that the leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats, Kirsty Williams, then determined

  • Her vision for the next Assembly and beyond.
  • Explored the central themes that any new Assembly should concentrate on in order to improve both the Welsh economy and public affairs;

Examined the need and mechanisms to change the mind-set in Cardiff Bay in order to ensure government works more effectively in dealing with the problems of the Welsh people
